window coverings
The base window covering I installed on both windows today is Design View 2 inch faux wood blinds from Home Depot. My husband nicknamed me Bob the builder!
art studio renovation/lighting plan
After much deliberation and research, I have a lighting plan. I am going with eco-friendly LED recessed lights. My father suggested them and after I learned that they do not emit ultraviolet radiation and are great for art and photographs, I decided to take the plunge. I felt so good that I got them on clearance for $16 dollars each (original cost was $69 EACH). But a word of warning, it would be great to have an electrician in the family. The good feeling about saving so much on the eight lights promptly ended with the estimate from the electrician. On to window treatments

New paint
Daughter and I wanted the color of Starbucks Mocha Frap. with whipped cream (white window treatments). Maybe it's more Skinny Vanilla Latte!

Daughter wanted a picture with the princess I had painted on the wall when she was the same height as the painting. She did the honors and started painting over her with the first of what turned out to be five coats of Quik-Hide primer.

My husband would laugh at the term "some" scrappin stuff. I have slowly taken over most of this bookcase for kits, magazines, and albums for my new layouts.
My renovation of our gameroom into an art studio for my daughter and me!
So here are some before pics of the space we use as the Game Room. Ten years of toys, games, and some scrappin' stuff shoved in the corner. This space no longer works for us as the youngest is in middle school. {WOW insert I feel old face here:)}
