Week In The Life™ 2015 Completed Wednesday Pages

Yay! Love this project so much!
Yes, it takes effort, but everything worthwhile does.
Here are all of my Wednesday pages.

Page 1: Week In The Life 6x8 Digital Templates2 by Ali Edwards--LOVE!

Pages 1 & 2:Used Crate Paper "Confetti Line" star printed vellum in place of the transparencies you got if you preordered Ali's Week In The Life™ kit early... Not to self, order early next year! Letter stickers in white say "cozy" over the photo of my son in bed.

Pages 3 & 4: Made a template for these 3x8 Morning, afternoon, and evening cards in Pages on my Mac so I can just fill it in for all the other days, and print.

Pages 3 & 4 with insert flipped over: just added the gray thin stripe because I like the yellow, gray, and aqua colors together. Printed out all the "What gives us comfort at home" answers from family.

Close up: love the labels and wood veneer words from the kit.

Close up of the Acetate 3x4 cards from Pinkfresh Studio in my Clique Kits Design Team package. Used another Snap Photo Flip Pocket sized 3x4 to adhere the acetate card and the plastic 4 from Ali's kit over the photo of our Pomeranian. :)

Page 5 & 6: Highlighted the word Wednesday with Hero Arts Pool ink and a label stamp, stuck the packaging sticker on the yellow striped card, and called it done. Now on to Thursday!!

Thanks to Ali Edwards for this amazing concept and kit, and inspiration!
Thank you visitors for joining me here today!

My First Clique Kits 2015-16 Design Team Sneak Peek

So completely excited!
Full reveal of the CliqueKits.com October kit is tomorrow!
September 16, 2015!
This is the first kit I have worked with as part of their new
Design Team called the Varsity Team.
YAY!

There is so much yummy goodness in these kits!

Over the last few years, I have field tested the cost of buying kits versus purchasing new supplies and papers when they are released and belonging to a kit club like www.CliqueKits.com saves me money big time! For $29.99 plus shipping you get FULL packages of brand new goodies, papers, embellishments, exclusive cut files and exclusive digital and printable items too! When I purchased all the items in a new line separately I would spend over $100-$150 dollars
so thats a savings of $75-$120 dollars, yes, per month!

Don't forget to treat yourself to a sweet deal and get 10% off your CliqueKits.com store purchase by using my code "LeighAnn10". (- not applicable to subscription prices as they are already such a great value!)

Thank you for visiting today!

Project Life 2015 Week 23 by Artful Leigh

Got the new Heidi Swapp Prismatic Edition Project Life® kit
at Michaels with my birthday money!!
Yay! Shopping with my daughter was so much fun for my special day!!

Week 23, using the new Heidi Swapp Prismatic Edition Project Life® Kit, and Kellie Stamps Digital stamps, and two little wood veneer triangles from Pinkfresh Studios.

The "So Proud" and "You're Awesome" are from Kellie Stamps, and you can add them in Photoshop before printing for a quick layout. Simply printed photos, and one journaling card, and added the two veneer triangles. Simple, quick and done! Using the 6x8 Becky Higgins LLC pocket pages and album for summer documenting.

Quick Tip, How To Easily add 4x6 Photos to your #WeekInTheLife™ Album

I was looking for a way to use supplies already in my craft room to add
4x6 photos to my #WeekInTheLife™ album this week, and came across these
Snap Studio, by Simple Stories Photo Flip Pockets!

So here's my super quick and easy tutorial.

Finished result

STEP 1: TRIM A WHITE 1/2" WIDE PIECE OF CARD STOCK TO THE LENGTH OF THE ADHESIVE STRIP ON YOUR PHOTO FLIP POCKET. Then peel off the adhesive on your photo flip pocket and adhere the white strip of card stock to it, keeping the card stock flush with the adhesive on the right. This will give you a little overhang on the left , but that is to keep this binder edge the same size as your other pocket pages.

STEP 2: COVER BOTH SIDES WITH WASHI TAPE OF CHOICE (No Pic)

STEP 3: USE MORE WASHI TAPE TO TEMPORARILY ADHERE YOUR PHOTO FLIP POCKET TO ANOTHER PHOTO POCKET PAGE FROM THE SAME ALBUM. THIS WILL KEEP IT FROM SLIPPING WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO PUNCH THE HOLES :)

STEP 4:TURN OVER SO YOU CAN SEE WHERE TO PUNCH THE HOLES.

Slide in photos and add to your book! You can add embellishments outside the photo flip pocket like Ali Edwards does, it's super easy.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Craft Room Organization Heidi Swapp Inspired Pegboard

I was inspired by Heidi Swapp's large striped wall
in her craft room and wanted to paint gold stripes on
my craft room pegboard.

The pegboard measures 6 feet wide by 3 feet tall and I am here to encourage you, because I made and installed this all by myself! You probably can too!

I call it the American Crafts wall! Almost everything on here is under the American Crafts umbrella of companies! Love them!

STEP 1: Tape off and paint in color of choice. I used Rustoleum Metallic Gold Spray Paint

STEP 2: PEEL TAPE OFF TO REVEAL CRISP CLEAN EDGES :)

STEP 3 AND 4: Miter your painted frame/molding (number the back as you go for easier placement later) and hang by 1"x2" boards secured to the studs with long wood screws, I used a stud finder to locate them. Tip for easily hanging the 1x2's by yourself---I marked the edge of the boards once I got them level. I found the studs and marked them with a pencil, then drilled through the level 1x2's into the wall with a drill bit same diameter as your wood screws. I then placed a long nail through the hole created with the drill to hold the 1x2's in the wall while I secured them with screws at the other end:)

STEP 5: Use Liquid Nails or Loc-Tite (construction adhesive of choice) to attach moldings and clamp  with heavy duty clamps until it grabs hold. Then pre drill small holes for the finishing brads and hammer them in through the molding and into the 1"x2" secured boards. Countersink them with a countersink tool so they are less noticeable when covered with caulking.

STEP 6: NO PIC- APPLY CAULKING TO THE FRAME'S BRAD HOLES AND  CORNERS TO HIDE THE SEAM.

STEP 7: Have fun hanging and organizing your stuff!!!

I added the raw pine boards that I cut with my jig-saw by pegboard shelf hooks.

Target dollar bins 2/$1 from about six months ago finally have a spot.

 Planning Station below the pegboard.

Close up my "Shine Bright" and letters "A" and "L" for Artful Leigh:)

Wide angle lens used to capture the entire wall.

Here is a short You-Tube video about this project if you would like to watch, thank you for visiting and have fun organizing!!
